On your mark, get set…READ! Sports is the theme of the Tualatin Library’s 2016 Summer Reading Program. This year the Friends donated $10,950 to fund the program.
The kickoff for Summer Reading is scheduled for Wednesday, June 1st. The library is hosting four programs that day:
- Mo Phillips. At 11 am, Mo’s style of rock ‘n roll, blues and soul with just a smidge of country will have you tapping your toes and snapping your fingers. Located at the Library Hearth.
- Teen Free Donut and Book Day. From 4 pm – 6 pm, teens (Grades 6-12) can sign up for summer reading and get a free donut and a free book in the Library Teen Room.
- Adam the Great Magician. At 6 pm, magician extraordinaire Adam the Great returns with his amazing tricks for all ages. He’ll be traveling all over the library.
- Joe Baker and the Kitchen Men. At 7 pm, Joe Baker and The Kitchen Men perform hot jazz, hillbilly and rhythm & blues in the Library Hearth Area.
Come on out and join the fun.
