Jason Achilles to speak and perform at Tualatin Library

On Sunday, June 30th, Jason Achilles will speak and perform around the hearth at the Tualatin Public Library.

Musician and producer by day, NASA research scientist by night, Jason Achilles bends sound through bass, keys, and other instruments, layering them to achieve a kind of sonic experimentation. Hear about his work capturing sound on Mars, and stay for music. Jason’s talk will focus on his work with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory on microphone tech for the Mars 2020 rover. This will be informative, inspiring, and loud — starting at 2 pm. You can sample Jason’s music at his website.

A Friends of Tualatin Library donation supports this event as part of the library’s Sunday Music Series.
