Friends of Tualatin Library launched a new website this week. The website includes lots of information about the ways we support the Tualatin Public Library, volunteer opportunities, upcoming events, and tips for making book and media donations for our book sales. The blog-style format makes it easy to update with news stories and to link them to our Facebook page. Visitors to our website are invited to sign up to receive emails when we post news stories to the website. Simply enter your email address in the “subscribe to our blog” box in the right sidebar. You don’t need to be a member to receive these announcements.
The Friends of the Tualatin Library contributed $600 to the 11th annual WCCLS Art of the Story Storytelling Festival. This year’s festival is scheduled for April 11 – 18, 2015. All events are free and designed for adults and kids ages 6+. The week-long festival features national, regional, and local professional storytellers. Events will be held at various libraries in the WCCLS system, including Tualatin. A detailed schedule will be available soon.
Frog Pond Farm will donate 10% of the proceeds of your holiday purchases to Friends of the Tualatin Library. They sell Christmas trees, potted trees, holiday wreaths, candles, and gifts. Frog Pond Farm is located at 2995 SW Advance Rd, Wilsonville. They have a petting zoo too, so bring the kids. To take advantage of this opportunity, you need to give the Frog Pond Farm flyer to them when you make your purchases.
